THE COCA-COLA DOME – CELEBRATING A DECADE OF EXCELLENT EVENTING

Celebrating its 10th birthday, the Coca-Cola dome is hailed as one of South Africa’s most versatile venues with surfaces that can be utilised extremely well on both a large and smaller scale for a variety of purposes.

The venue has played host to riveting once-off performance by international superstar Diana Ross at the official opening ten years ago, to performances by Irish pop and rock star Ronan Keating, the UK’s greatest rock and roll star and pop legend, Sir Cliff Richard, legend Sir Elton John and the world’s highest paid female singer Celine Dion. As a matter of fact, more than half a million visitors a year cannot be wrong.

Due to its excellent management capabilities, the Sasol Pension Fund, owners of the dome, renewed the management contract for the venue with Thebe Venue Management until 2014. Robert Robinson, CEO of Sasol Pension Fund says “The professional manner in which Thebe Venue Management manages the dome certainly sets a benchmark in the industry. The team’s expert approach assists greatly in making this asset of the fund a very viable business proposition.”
